Frequently Asked Questions About The New Dental Van...
What type of financing is available for the Mobile Dental Clinics? American Business Leasing www.americanbusinessleasing.com and Cornerstone Medical and Technology Finance, LLC www.cornerstonemf.com are our preferred lenders. They have a variety of financing options for your mobile dental unit to fit almost any need.
What type of warranty is on the mobile dental clinic? Turtle Top has a 5 year/75,000 mile warranty on its major structural components. Chevrolet has a 2 year/unlimited mileage warranty on the vehicle with roadside assistance. The major components of the mobile dental clinics such as dental equipment, generators, air conditioners, and wheelchair lift all carry varying manufacturers warranties for 12 months to 3 years.
Will I need a special driver's license to drive the mobile dental van? No. There is no special driver's license required to drive our standard mobile clinic. We do offer larger models that may require a CDL.
The Dental Access Mobile Dental Clinic looks big. Is it hard to drive? No. As a matter of fact, after a small adjustment period many find it as easy to drive as a car. The majority of our drivers are female.
Do I have to plug the van in to an electrical outlet or attach a water hose to treat patients in my Mobile Dental Clinic? No. Our mobile dental clinics are designed to be fully self contained and fully self-sufficient. There is ample water storage and generator power to meet all your needs when treating patients in the mobile dental clinic. However, if the locations you will be going to are willing to provide the proper electric or water connections, we can provide shore line hook-ups.
Is this the only make/style of mobile dental office available? No. After years of research and field- testing we have found that the standard model will meet the needs of the majority of mobile dental practices. This model can be manufactured with one or two treatment rooms, with or without a wheelchair lift. We also have the ability to manufacture a larger mobile dental clinic to meet the needs of those who desire it.
We have designed each of our mobile dental clinics for maximum efficiency and productivity based on the actual experience of dentists working daily in our mobile dental offices. We have also found that a consistent design allows us to more effectively support and more accurately predict the functions of our mobile dental clinics, giving you a higher quality product that will perform to the level you expect and deserve.
Is there a patient waiting room in the mobile dental van? It is a common misconception that a waiting room is required in a mobile dental clinic. A waiting room is a costly and largely non-functional space. The beauty of a mobile dental office is that patients can avoid costly travel and waiting time by having the mobile dental clinic arrive on site at their location. The patients can do what they do best until it is time for you to do what you do best for them, thereby improving everyone's efficiency. Having said that, should your practice require a waiting room, we can certainly accomodate this on our larger units.
What type of procedures can be done in a mobile dental office? Unlike most mobile dental clinics that are designed for primarily preventative practices, any procedure that can be done in a brick and mortar location can be done in our mobile dental clinics. Our vehicles were designed for use by the entire dental team - dentists, hygienists and assistants - to perform a variety of procedures including: exams, panoramic and intraoral x-rays, preventive procedures, extractions, endodontics, and all types of crown and bridge and restorative procedures.
Can I treat handicapped patients in my mobile dental office? Yes! Our dental vans are designed to come equipped with an integrated under floor wheelchair lift should one be desired, thereby enabling you to treat all varieties of patients including the elderly and handicapped.
What if I have questions on how to get the most out of my mobile dental office? Dental Access has the only mobile dental clinic in the industry that was designed by dentists for dentists. We are in constant communication with those dentists and consulting is always available to dentists who purchase our mobile dental units because we want you to be successful. We're not just in the business of selling vans; we're in the business of helping dentists meet the needs of their patients. That way everyone wins!
